Extra Curricular

Pupils have the opportunity to develop further study through several extra curricular activities at Oswestry School.  Depending on their year group, Thursday afternoons see pupils either taking part in the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), or Community Action (CA).  There are also opportunities to develop their skills in other areas such as the Decimus Society, Oswestry School Sailing Association (OSSA), or in music.

Pupils learn self-reliance and develop leadership skills via activities organised under the Combined Cadet Force and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme. There are regular expeditions, including, most recently, to South Africa and The Alps.  Community Action involves pupils going out into the local community to help with development, social and educational projects.
