Football, U13 v Rhyn Park (a) 3.20pm

We started off well, dominating the field and causing Rhyn Park to make careless mistakes. An attack by Oswestry brought the score to 1-0 by Ross Jones knocking the ball high above the keeper's head.
The score was 1-0 Oswestry by half time until another break by Oswestry by the midfielder brought the score to 2-0 Oswestry following a goal by Elliot Blount-Powell.
Following a lucky break by a Rhyn Park player he managed to just get the ball past our keeper leaving the final score 2-1 to Oswestry.
Well done to the entire team for their excellent play.
Mr Hollingsworth awarded Man of the Match to Jamie Jones and Elliot Blount-Powell.

The game couldn't have started better for us with Scott Valley's fine strike early on. The pitch was sodden and much smaller than our home pitch and it was hard work to move the ball around, but we adapted and controlled the game, our winger beating their defence for pace every time. We dominated the first half and just before the half time whistle, Callum Morris thumped in his second of the season to put us 2 up at the interval.
