We had a very good performance at the BPW public speaking competition tonight.

Alister Talbot gained best chairman on the night and Louise Aust delivered a fantastic speech. Sadly the team just missed out on going through to the next round but I have high hopes that Alister, Louise and Ruth Reynolds will do well at next week's Rotary Youth Speaks competition.

CCF, Remembrance Day Parade

Oswestry School's CCF contingent was represented by 26 cadets this year at the town's annual Ceremony of Remembrance, our biggest turn out yet. The cadets joined with the local ACF detachment before marching to Cae Glas gates where the act of remembrance was carried out before our Senior Cadet, RSM Hana Foggin, placed a wreath on the park gates which are the town's war memorial. After a service in St Oswald's, the contingent marched past the gates before returning to school where the cadets and their families joined together for a curry lunch.
