Bellan House, Bellan Bears on Tour II
"Bellan House Bears travelled to New York with the Counter family to celebrate American Thanksgiving in the 'city that never sleeps'. All had a fantastic time, from the bottom of the Statue of Liberty to the top of the Empire State Building. Bellan Bears are now well versed with travelling through security scans (which are even more invasive at the Statue of Liberty than any airport ever travelled!), and the Bears are now used to being dangled from very tall buildings in an attempt to get a good shot! Times Square was very bright with all the lights of Broadway and all enjoyed the Natural History Museum very much (where the boys enjoyed seeing some of the characters from the movie 'Night at the Museum'). Finally we watched the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade from our 34th floor hotel bedroom instead of braving the throngs of people below us. Next stop San Francisco for New Year - Bellan Bears will check in on their return."

Fond Farewells = Goodbye Gappies
One of the sadder aspects of the end of term was that it was time for us to say farewell to our two gappies (sorry - assistant tutors), Lindsay Dundon and Tom Parker.
We have appreciated very much their time with us and their valued help and input into the life of the School, especially School House. We wish them every success in their future.
Lindsay and Tom say that they have really enjoyed their time with us, especially the chance to get to know so many new people and see new places; it is an experience which they will always remember with great fondness.

St Oswald's, 11.00am. Preacher: the Ven John Hall, Archdeacon of Salop
The school concert band and choirs of Oswestry School and Bellan House, conducted by Mrs Morris and Mr Greatorex, were inspiring as they presented their anthems and descants and accompanied the congregational hymns.

Bellan House, Children In Need Events
We will be having a fundraising day on Friday 20th November for Children in Need.
Again this year's theme is coloured spots and the children can dress up in this theme and donate £1 in the process. They may wear a complete coloured spotty outfit, or simply 1 item of spotty clothing, such as wellies, a scarf, socks, a hat or anything you can think of.
Please can children bring some money in a named purse or envelope for this day, small coins such as 10p, 20p and 50ps are easier for the children to manage.
